Rodrigo M. Rivero
Civil Engineer with 10 years of experience in hydrological, structural and geotechnical projects for dam engineering. Interested in the development of science applied to the different components of energy engineering.
Member of the Paraguayan Committee on Large Dams (CPDP). Member of ICOLD Technical Committee “Prospective ande new Challenges for Dams and Reservoirs in the 21st Century”.
Profesional Experience
- ANDE: Head of the “Civil works, hydromechanical, hydrological and dam safety” area of the Retrofit and Modernization Program of Acaray Hydropower Complex. Since Oct 2020.
- Structural Engineer: Design and supervision of civil structures in reinforced concrete and structural steel. Prestressed concrete bridges, culverts, buildings, industrial warehouses, among others.
- Sapienza Università di Roma: Associated Researcher. Developement of structural analysis tools with efficient numerical procedures. Intensive research on thermal, static linear, non-linear and seismic modeling of Lumiei and Pertusillo dams. Collaboration on drafting an updated version of Italian dam regulation NTD 2014.
